About the role
You create thumbnail concepts that grab viewers' attention and drive clicks. You will not design the final thumbnail; you provide the photos and ideas to our designer. Your concept tells a micro-story that sparks curiosity and separates average-performing videos from viral ones.
Expected volume is 30 to 40+ approved thumbnail ideas per month, plus bonuses, with a 24-hour turnaround per idea.
The channels that represent our current quality standard are Abyssal Detective, Abyssal Observer, and Abyssal Detective 2.

Requirements
- Strong visual storytelling instincts. You understand what makes people click.
- Ability to identify visceral, attention-grabbing moments in content.
- Understanding of curiosity gaps and how text and image work together.
- Thrive in a fast-paced environment with quick turnaround times.
- Experience with YouTube thumbnails or click-driven visual content.
- Familiarity with true crime, horror, or iceberg content styles.
What success looks like
- 15 approved storyboards delivered per week.
- 100% checklist compliance on all submissions.
- Thumbnails contribute to improved click-through rates on published videos.
- Consistent match with our channel's style.
